Forest Way School

Key Stage 3 (11-14 years)

The pupils in Key Stage 3 are aged 11-14. Within this Key Stage they begin to develop their life skills. They are encouraged to lead drink sessions and encouraged to organise their equipment and belongings for lessons. They are supported to make choices within their free time by attending weekly leisure club sessions.

Key Stage 3 (11-14 years)

During the summer term pupils plan and carry out a mini enterprise to raise money for a local charity. In the past the activities have included a car wash, cake sale, sponsored bike ride/running and the pupils also sold products they have made e.g. decorated pant pots and book marks. There is also an opportunity for pupils to have their first work experience. This takes place internally and the roles include shadowing a member of staff including office staff, grounds work and helping out with the younger pupils. The roles and responsibilities are matched accordingly to pupilsí levels and interests.
