Key Stage 4 (14-16 years)

The Key Stage 4 department has pupils ranging from 14 to 16 years old. During the two years in this Key Stage pupils have the opportunity to further develop their life skills promoting independence in preparation for Post 16. Pupils access the life skills flat on a regular basis and make trips out into the local community. There are also opportunities to access local college taster courses in Hair and Beauty and Mechanics. Some pupils are working towards the B-Tec in Hair and Beauty.

Key Stage 4 (14-16 years)

In Key Stage 4 pupils begin to work towards certificates in Life and Living skills which are accredited by OCR (Oxford/ Cambridge Exam Board). These modules focus on the core skills of ICT, numeracy and communication. This is in preparation for vocational modules studied in Post 16. All pupils are able to access this scheme which is tailored to individual learning and skills.
